No APS elementary are allowed to grow chicks, it was banned thanks to some PETA mom’s complaint years ago. Hands-on learning is part of Campbell ES’s focus. Even there though, criticism has forced some scaling back of classroom experiences. Welcome to APS, land of the Karens.

What was hard about the transition between the two? Why did you depart MPSA?


We left because I decided I preferred a more traditional learning environment, the neighborhood school is much easier logistically and since we knew we wouldn’t do Montessori for middle school I wanted my child to have friends from elementary already to go to middle school with. It just wasn’t a fit for us.
