Ha! That's hilarious. I lived in Edmonston for 15 years until very recently and it is so chill it has the least crime of any place around including nicer areas of Silver Spring and Tkpk. It's tiny and tucked away but situated in a fantastic location....


Maybe it’s block to block, but that shooting with the girl on the trampoline really freaked me out.


It's too small to be block by block. There's only like 10 blocks in the whole town. A shooting anywhere is scary but it is well outside the norm and MUCH less frequent than in places like DTSS.

Some areas of College Park near the university are full of student rentals. And where you have students, you have parties.

Fortunately, the houses with students aren't hard to find. Just look for 1500 sf houses with 5+ bedrooms and at least four cars in the driveway.


The houses with students are heavily concentrated in Old Town, and even there, they're starting to dilute due to students moving to the new apartments (and the trust fund snapping some of the rentals).

In any case, the advice is good: you should check out College Park while the school is in session, because it is a totally different ballgame in terms of vibrancy.
