In the vein of gas station restaurants, I literally am eating takeout right now from Chit Chaat Cafe in Vienna (at the gas station at the corner of Maple and Park). Not sure it's anything super special, but always in and out fast, and hits the spot when I'm craving Indian.

Roger Miller (West African) in Silver Spring.

Talia’s in Kensington. Their chicken and grilled veggies - amazing.

Another vote for Ryan Thai in Wheaton.

Also Panda Gourmet on NY Ave, if you don’t mind the somewhat sketchy location.

Sfizi in Falls Church.

I love that place, and wish we had gone more when we lived in FCC. I feel like it gets overlooked because of Thompson Italian or something.

I LOVE Sheba. Total gem. Exception on the vegetarian front.
