I seriously doubt very many people here are doing 10+ hours of endurance training a week that would even benefit from that sort of in workout fueling. There is a reason why gu jokes about 5K marathons exist on Reddit.

In normal circumstances you are better off eating regularly without any kind of additional “snack.” You “refuel” whatever limited deficit you made with a normal workout by eating real food at your normal eating time.

Raw almonds before the workout and a pint glass of full fat chocolate milk after. Absolute Deliciousness.

Water. I do not eat food until 1pm. Then it's cold pressed green juice.

Sometimes I eat two turkey sausage patties!

I work out after work and even though I've had breakfast, lunch and at least one snack in the afternoon, I need another snack before my workout. I have the eating habits of a hobbit.

Today, I just had a spoonful of natural peanut butter and a handful of blackberries, but I forgot to have my double espresso so I felt pretty blah during my rides.
