I agree with being in the moment, but of course we look at the photos & videos later. I share photos with the grandparents, and I make a printed photobook every 6 months. My photos are organized on my computer.

My kids want to watch their sports & band videos, plus the grandparents want to see them. Though, I find a way to hold the phone or camera in such a way that I’m recording but watching in real life, not through the screen.

I’ve already viewed my recordings of the fireworks 30x since July 4th. If I’m recording something, of course that means I’m going to view it later!!

We had a dad literally video every school event and performance from beginning to end for 12 years and two kids. He would work the entire auditorium and had sticks for his phone to get aerial shots. Wonder how often he watches them now?

I like it because Google will remind me about me about things I did a year ago , etc and give me a picture video slideshow

My father nearly knocked me over once and elbowed me in the face to whip out his phone to take pics of my niece/his granddaughter being presented with a birthday cake (one of like, four). I like to have a few clips of a special concert. When I just want to remember the special time I had with my daughter, I go back and take a look. We don't film the whole thing. I snippet here and there. It's much more special than watching it on YouTube. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are about the most annoying to happen to music in this millennium.

No she's not. Everyone is looking in that general direction. She would be looking more sharply over her shoulder if she was looking at the camera.

Fireworks are up on the sky (where everyone's phone is pointed) and the old lady is looking across at a phone

I agree 100% about fireworks and had that thought last week when I saw so many people filming them.

I did record part of a concert once, had great seats, and I do go back and watch it from time to time.
