Are you the one who believed they were special to their therapist who would email him over the weekend and expected extra attention?

If you are a regular weekly client, you should be able to expect to have a set slot.

My former therapist did the slots at first because that is what she had. She also made it clear when a regular appointment opened that disrespecting the cancellation policy and other things would lead to losing it. I respected it, but I do well with boundaries. Once I felt ready to decrease we went back to filling slots since I was not a regular weekly patient.
