Get a floor bunk bed. I have one that’s not even 46 inches tall.

As someone who has a friend who lost their 3 year old last year to a bunk bed accident, I would never ever put a toddler in one (or any kid honestly).

Us too, but not until the younger kid was four. Just not worth the risk of him deciding to try out the older’s top bunk and falling.
