Yes, you can dive at the 2nd pool if you have a membership there. We have a toxic dive team and I looked into what it would take to switch to another dive team in Fairfax County.

If your 1st pool does not have a dive team you are essentially a free agent and can dive at any pool in NVSL without paying the pool membership as long as you pay the dive fee.

You’re talking about $50 more than the team fee though, right and not the club membership cost.

Yes. In our section of the county, there are a half dozen swim teams. Only 1 offers dive, but that pool will allow any member of the local pool onto their dive team for team fee plus a nominal amount. You do not have to join the pool

But as posted above, anyone joining the dive team must have a bona fide membership at and NVSL affiliated pool. I.e. an NVSL dive team can accept a member of another NVSL pool with out a dive team, but cannot take on a member of a country club or commonwealth league pool.

Correct. A dive team can’t take on a diver who doesn’t belong to a NVSL affiliated club.
