+1
Team OP here.
It's absolutely bonkers to need to celebrate this way illegally. Everyone ok with shooting machines guns in the air too? Also illegal. And they are not doing this because they feel a true breast-busting patriotic need to express themselves.
OP if you want to get elaborate, you can casually mention that you'll be out of town. Have a great holiday! Then hole up at a hotel and call the police so they don't suspect you.

Call 911? For fireworks on the 4th of July? So pathetic.
Aerial fireworks are illegal in the dense counties around DC and in DC itself. For good reason. This area has homes that catch on fire every year due to fireworks. It’s not a rare occurrence.
76 people in DC are homeless after illegal fireworks destroyed their apartment building this week:

I am going to walk over if I see them and ask they not point launchers at our house. Every house for itself I guess.

Anonymous wrote:I live near Green Valley. I was fine with the fireworks but they continued a couple years ago until 2 am, and not a. occasional one but consistent. I got fed up bc it was effecting our dog and we weren’t able to get to sleep so I called non emergency they asked for the location and immediately said no we aren’t going to come out.

Have the police not been contacted?
Are your other neighbors ok with this?
No. The owners are scum who do not maintain housemaid get $3000 a month from desperate renters with multiple dogs. Have been doing this for 40 years or more,
I am afraid they will know its me if I call police. I was not certain they were illegal fireworks until I asked fire dept after last year and they sent code.
Dunno.
