There's no end of reputable studies showing conservatives are happier than liberals. The older I get the more convinced I am that we are biologically hardwired in ways we really cannot overcome and this extends to so much of how we approach people. That the unhappiest people in society are the most progressive is not surprising to me because they are also the most in denial about basic biology and truth itself - such as the concept of trans, for example.
Your experience mirrors mine but I don’t think we will ever agree on most things politically.

What problems? Being sexist is only a problem if it causes you some difficulty. As long as you don't want to attract a woman or you are fine attracting a women that wants a sexist male, I don't see a huge problem

Precisely. In earlier decades, in fact virtually all of human history until the 1970s, women needed men (more specifically male resources) for survival.
I don’t think our society has fully come to terms with this seismic change.
