If you shorten the skirt enough not to trip, then pretty much anywhere.

I like a body suit or tank with a jacket over top if you dont like to show your arms. A cute jean jacket would look great.

To avoid looking like a Duggar, you really need to balance the coverage of the maxi with some skin (which is why a tank typically works well). If you have a large chest, a button down + maxi can make you look larger than you are. I find it more flattering to just find a maxi dress, as the continuous line is more slimming and it is easier to stay away from evangelical/mumsy style
