NP- I have been in Florida for nearly 20 years, first in Miami Beach and now in Broward...Miami Beach was pure heaven with small children: so many playgrounds, the beach, children's museum, zoo, great libraries with passes to museums, decent free VPK.... I think the Miami area has changed in the sense it is now so wealthy that more "normal" people have been pushed out. It has gotten more of a ultra rich and young professionals vibe if only because of the housing situation. Now I am in Broward and it's a wonderful place: more down to earth, so many outdoor opportunities all year-round for everyone. My teens can play soccer, go swimming at the pool, at the beach, ride their bikes, go play tennis all in the same day. It's safe and very family-oriented. Boca and West Palm are very much the same, but I would say they skew wealthier and definitely a little less down-to-earth, which is not my personal preference.
