Frankly, it sounds like your relationship has soured. This is bigger than a gift. Either give the gift to her son or don’t, but to me it sounds like you need to move on from her.

I think a $50 Amazon gift card would look like an afterthought for a high school graduation. If this nanny has been with you for more than a year, I think you should give the graduate $100-$150 cash. If you haven't known her that long, maybe you can reduce the amount and/or offer the gift card. The disagreement is irrelevant to the gift but it's always good to patch things up.
