I’m a DC area native and admittedly don’t understand the dynamics behind this, but maybe it’s just ignorance due to my age or family history or whatever. Whats the deal here? It’s definitely noticeable.
Growing up for instance, I went to private school in Upper NW. Literally all of the black kids lived in Silver Spring, Bowie, and a few others. Every single Jewish kid lived in MoCo — their families would never live in NoVa not a single one of them. As for the white kids the majority lived in NoVa (McLean, Alexandria, Arlington), but some lived in Chevy Chase village. Asians and middle eastern kids all lived in NoVa.
Can anyone explain?

Uhh.. PG county schools didn’t desegregate until the 1970s

Believe it or not, there are a lot of white, asian and middle eastern people in Maryland. There are also a lot of black, Latino and Jewish people in Virginia (though more Jews in DC and MoCo than the VA close in suburbs)

NP. This is a bizarre post with bizarre reasoning.
True although recall that Maryland was a slave state.
