They are observations not assumptions. If the women are younger than 50 then yes they sometimes remarry.

So many bitter threads here. I must be the only deliriously happy married person on this site. After 37 years, I can honestly say I love my spouse more today than ever.

men make most of the money by far. The value of earning1 million a year+ is much higher than doing domestic work. Requires more skill and is a rarer skill among mankind.

In my country club world 95% of the wealth and income is coming from the men. The women mostly lay golf and tennis and order around the nannies.

But then again it's not a gender thing. I think we guys are even worse because other guys encourage us to be super promiscuous post divorce whereas women are more likely to be restrained by their friends.

My friends think I am wasting my life by coming home watching TV or reading a book of spending time with our kids when they are with me instead off hooking up multiple times a week.

Honestly I am surprised how quickly some people start having sex hooking up going out all the time as soon as their divorce is official.

+1. I am 47 newly divorced and your observation is correct. I never realized how much my ex wife supported me emotionally until now. Thankfully I have not rushed to a new relationship. I am still debating with myself whether I am truly capable of being an equal partner in a relationship...

One reason - support network. Women have more friends than men.Womem maintain their friendship and help each other in times of emotional distress.

Men don't have friends. They have drinking and sports watching buddies.
