I like to order flavored pastas from Pappardelle’s Pasta in Denver. I think a few local places sell some of their varieties retail.

Right, I was going to say the same. DeCecco, Barilla - these are standard grocery store brands in America. DeCecco is my preference in that category. It’s good. For “gourmet” I prefer Seggiano. It’s about $7.99 lb at Whole Foods.

Costco sells Garofslo, is that considered premium.

Folate is a generic term— folic acid is one kind and it is the kind in prenatal vitamins. Enriched flour is basically an effort to give everyone some prenatal vitamins.

Folate is not generic. Geneally, one should eat leafy greens and only take folic acid supplements if directed by a medical doctor. Spraying it on wheat so 100% of the people consume it wrong. I avoid non organic wheat products.

Thank you for at least posting your source which is a blog post linking to Joe Rogan’s podcast.

And yes, folic acid is one type of folate and no one “sprays it on wheat”. There have been lots of studies on populations before and after it was added and no one has identified common adverse effects. Maybe some day they will but doubt it will be Joe Rogan’s guests who do.

Up to 40% of people have the gene mututation. Many people believe they are allergic to wheat or gluten, when in fact in the folic acid they can’t deal with. Organic pasta is best.

This is garbled information presented at fact. Might as well weigh in on covid vaccine complications while you are at.

I buy the cheapest bronze cut pasta I can find. Brand and price doesn’t matter in my experience.

If you have been to Italy, buy the nicer lighter colored pasta. If you have never been to italy, it doesn't matter since you probably haven't had real pasta.

Yes, high-quality pasta is a game-changer.

I order regularly from Delallo.com and do think the pasta tastes better than store brand. I started because I buy olive oil in the big liter tins—they run pretty good discounts periodically and it’s a better selection than at the grocery store.

That’s what makes it “enriched.” About 50-60% of humans don’t tolerate folic acid. Were suppose to ingest folate, which our body converts to folic acid. It’s why many people feel sick or have digestive issues after eating wheat. The Italian and organic pastas just have normal flour typically. I find i feel much better after eating organic or Italian pasta. It’s worth it imo.

De Cecco has folic acid.

I don’t think that’s added folic acid, I think that folic acid you’re body converts from folate, but not 100% sure.

Folic acid is listed as an ingredient. They aren't going to list something as an ingredient that isn't there in the pasta.

Your body doesn't convert folate into folic acid. Where did you get that information?

No, I can't stand De Cecco and I'm Italian. I like San Giorgio and barilla. Those brands are for dumb rich folks who think they're getting more for their money.
