We have to do 20 i-ready my path lessons at my school as a large part of our math grade -FOUR TIMES, I'M ON THE SECOND 20 LESSONS-, and it's a huge drag. They read out pretty much every word on the screen before allowing people to do the actual work. Even worse, the lessons are incredibly boring for a kid like me (I'm a gifted kid, so it's AWFUL), since they usually consist of explanations for EVERYTHING. I want to cry when I do them.

Teachers will find out more on Thursday/Friday (teacher workdays to end the year) and in the pre-service days in August before school starts up again.

Moral of the story: If this is true, spring scores likely do not matter for much going into next year. The focus will be on the new assessment method. I would doubt i-Ready would be used for AAP applications next year if it's not given in the fall.

Will FCPS also abandon Lexia and ST math?

Please! Just let the teachers teach.

I want teachers to teach instead of the gamified education apps.

My kid scored 15 points higher on their reading iready In the fall than they did in spring.
