Playing cricket? Is that a thing in your community?

Indians are pretty nice in general, and it doesn't take a lot to remind them to be respectful. Just tell them not to play in your yard. No need to get elaborate about it. "Do not play in my yard, please. It's killing my grass which I work hard to maintain." That should be enough.

Why doesn’t the HOA put up the fences? Never heard of this set up.

We had people cutting the corner of our lot - creating a path. We planted pampas grass in a row like a fence and now everyone goes around. It's too big to step over.

Just be direct and tell them to quit it

I'd put up the 'chemical applied to lawn' signs. Like all the time. And you have to prioritize that fence; I think you know that.

Put up a fence. For a TH end unit, it's going to be 1k or less.

Say something of course. What are you being a doormat? Just know k on the door and say, "The grass in my yard is mostly dead and I will be reseeding it this weeekend. Please stay out of my back yard in the future so it can grown back."

A small fence should only be 2500

I don't have 10-15 grand to throw down at the moment.

not that you should have to fence, but a townhouse fence is not 10-15 grand. not even close.

And is it possible since you are on the end, that you are considering some common area space, "your yard?" Be careful about where you ask them to avoid. IME, townhomes have a lot of common area, and tiny backyards. I know some old neighbors thought dogs were using bathroom in their yard, but they were really in the common space.

You could also buy a "keep off the grass" sign.
