JFC, three weeks and you haven't gone to a doctor? Even the crappy mid sized city I live in has an orthopedic urgent care and a large orthopedic practice where you can get in pretty quickly for an injury.

It's only 12 year old soccer. No national team or college scouts looking at your daughter. Just tell the coach your situation and if needed, just say your daughter will come to the practices to learn on the sidelines but not participate. Her body will heal with time if she and parents allow the body to heal.

I hate these posts. OP be a god dammed parent and take your child to a medical professional. What is wrong with you?

+2 you’d let your injured 11 year old child play to avoid coach criticism?

We had a very similar experience with an ankle fracture.

A qualified medical professional not urgent care. Go to a pediatric ortho. They know how to handle issues with growth plates and other kid issues you don't see in adults. Horrible experience with a sports medicine adult doc treating a kid a one of the big places.

Also the post is creepy bc everything says “we”. It’s not we. It’s your daughter.

Pretty much all OrthoVirginia locations have walk in hours on weekends. OP said they're not from DC, I would check your area to see if walk ins are available.

I take my kids in if pain is still there after a week. Sometimes right after the injury if it seems serious enough.

Here is what I have learned (having not read through all the responses):
Take her to a pediatric ortho. I recommend Pediatric Specialists in Fairfax. You need imaging.
Then you listen to the doctor's restrictions. Believe me, my kids are begging me to go back to their respective sports right now. It is painful to tell them no. But the reality is if you don't rest and heal, the injury will continue to be an issue. So you have to stand up and be the parent.
Once you have the restrictions from the doctor, you tell the coach what the dr. said. The coach will say OK. She can return when she is cleared by ortho.
In a month or two, you will forget that this even happened. Let her rest so that she is healed for the Fall season.

Thank you so much, this is why I asked for good advice like this appreciate you.
