I kept the Brio trains, Barbies and books. Now that I have young grandchildren, those things are getting played with again, and they don't take up too much space. Over the years while the kids were in college, the toys came in handy when we had a visitor with a young child.

I was very sad to give up the play kitchen, but at least I knew it would make another child happy.

Aww this is me. Get sentimental about the stuff as it's kids.movimg out of a certain phase with so many sweet memories.

Oh man I cried when I gave away my son's trucks. But they went to his cure cousin who was so excited to get them. Sometimes I like to anthropomorphize objects and imagine that toys want to be played with. They don't want to be ignored just because someone is getting sentimental.

I really like this PP. I get really sentimental too and we keep way too much stuff for too long. It is so much easier when you're giving to an actual person who you know will make use and enjoy it, versus anonymous donation. I have way too much nostalgia over every phase.

My kid just finished third grade and to be honest, I've been thinking about getting rid of it for about a year already. I'll be doing that on my summer vacation!

Mine only is 3 and the play kitchen is just a cabinet. But it’s a useful cabinet, I guess.
