Most people are rubbing some soap under their pits or swishing a dirty old loofah under their for a few seconds and calling it a day.
Yeah, I use a 40 grit sandpaper to scrub off the old deodorant. WTH kind of deodorant are you using that it takes an abrasive, or even a washcloth to remove it. Soap and water work just fine for me. It only takes seconds. I think most people know how to properly clean themselves.

I'm a middle aged white guy and every couple of months I'll have a day when I don't put on deodorant for some reason. Pee-ew . I stink.

My husband is white and doesn’t wear it day-to-day at home (he does for office/going out). He doesn’t smell. I don’t understand it at all and I’m super jealous because I will stink without deodorant.

It's highly individual, OP, and despite my personal experience, not gender or ethnicity related.

My husband has never worn deodorant because he only stinks when he works out intensely. I'm very jealous, because I need deodorant every day unless I do absolutely nothing!

My son has inherited my husband's biochemical make-up, my daughter is like me.

My husband is not a stinky person and when he switched from anti-perspirant to deodorant I could not deal with it.

Seriously, such a weird thread. 100% almost any man you know would reach to high heaven if they didn’t wear deodorant. Not talking about anti-perspirant, just real deodorant, doesn’t matter how much armpit hair they have or if not at all, it’s just a pheromones and body chemistry thing

My husband never had underarm funk. His feet though ? Gag the house. I used to put his socks for the day soaking instead of in the hamper. His shoes stayed in a plastic bag. That smell was so gross.

Funny thing, after he was treated for a fungal infection on his feet and body his feet never had that odor again.
Old country doctor knew his stuff.
