It's also a proven and widely used national test unlike MCAP which the state just created instead of using a proven test.

No. Usually only 9th graders.

Yes, ninth graders take it in the fall and spring.

Only in the fall for my 9th grader

The MAP testing window is still open.

It might be but it’s not being administered at his high school

Window per the PDF link up thread is until June 7. Contact Donna at MCPS Testing Unit. Her office was in charge of MCAP test results mailing to families.

Then expect a response sometime in 2026.

You must have a unicorn, because which kid GF about this test? They just click through. Nor do they care about the MCAP and MISA. No wonder test results show majority of students have not met whatever level they are supposed to meet. Is that why they are making the MCAP score count for 20% of the Sem 2 grade, so students actually try?

Well, my kids care. And their friends do, too.

Reach out to CO Curriculum office to demand why certain HS are administering MAP in June. The schools do not know how to communicate. They still haven't learned after other incidents. Amazing.

https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/siteassets/district/departments/sharedaccountability/testing/hs_assessmenttimeline.pdf

Does this schedule have Grades 10-12 listed to take MAP R or MAP M? Nope. Tell your child not to take it. They have wasted two days on MAP-R. Students who are taking certain Math classes are taking MAP-M too. What a collosal waste of classroom time! Students could be discussing readings, getting feedback from teachers or actually reading during class.

Kid took it and said selected random answers because "what is it actually good for?" Students DO NOT CARE how others at their school performed. They have others exams to prep for in the school year. Let principal or department resource teachers lose sleep over it.

Are schools that incapable of teaching that they feel they need to add yet another test to an already full testing season? 4 days gone to Spring MAP testing in HIGH SCHOOL. Smh.

BCC wanted seniors to take it in the Fall of senior year. Parents of seniors complained. What's the POINT after 9th grade? Is it an evaluation of the English and Math teachers? Shhh...elephant in the room BS.
