Ok I visited. She’s angry and sad and begged me to bring her home. But I made friends with the staff and it’s the right decision

I’m someone who knows how awful most skilled nursing facilities are and anything can happen in that timeframe.

I think visiting after a day or so to see if she needs anything and * then* starting the one month clock is reasonable
“Settle in”
As in:
“Become completely dependent upon and compliant with the caretaker regime, without the pesky interference of loved ones.”
