My dad was 46 when he married my then 23-year-old stepmother, who was the same age as my older brother. This essentially ended my relationship with my father as she wanted nothing to do with any of his kids.

I know one couple like this. He just turned 60 and she is 39, they've been together for 9ish years and just had twins together.

They both work but he is the breadwinner. He does *all* of the overnights with the twins (solo) so she can get her much-needed 9-10 hours of sleep per night. He also does the cooking, yard work and home repairs/renos. She keeps the house clean, decorates, does the laundry.

Honestly, she is kind of immature and demanding, but I think it works because he is older and has less Fs to give, so just rolls with a lot of it.

I had a friend in high school who ended up dating one of the dads when she was in her 20s. Was a friend of the guys daughter in high school.
Got married, because he was fairly wealthy, they had 4 more kids together, and she is in her 50s and is a nursemaid to her dh in his 90s.

I’ve never dated anyone within a decade if my kids (oldest is now 13).

But, whenever I’ve dated someone much younger, they’ve told me I treat them much better than the guys they’ve dated their own age.

It makes sense, the younger, hotter partner has the power in the relationship, so I want to make sure they’re happy in the relationship.

This is good and normal. I had friends in my twenties with Dad's dating women their age it really effed them up and made them question their fathers.
