A check for $75 is just a pain to cash.
A woman who is a mother figure in my life sends me the standard “$50 inside a car” gift almost every time, I appreciate it very much.
But again, I am not rich and she has known me since I was a teen and $50 is probably still the same amount as it was in the 90s. Your DIL might be a bit offended. So yeah an Amazon gift card is best.

Flowers are so boring and 'typical' women gift. It requires zero creditivity and thought.
Next someone will suggest candles or soap. Boring!
Candles and soap are trash.
Flowers are beautiful and sends the message that her MIL cares. Plus it has the added benefit that it doesn’t create clutter. When the flowers die, you throw them out. Candles and soda go in the junk pile at the bottom of the closet to be dealt with “later.”

This! Get some really nice tea, lotion, bar of chocolate to go with it. FedEx or UPS today or Monday.

She loves reading, tea, and the beach. They have a beach house.
She works a lot, has two teenagers and not a lot of time. Wonderful person! Going to spend about $75 but flexible on pricing.
Even better if it can be delivered quickly since I’ve waited to the last minute!
