My husband “married up” and he’d be the first one to tell you that this is a stupid reason to get married.

No one knows more than me that if he didn’t like me, he’d be long gone by now.

What's your definition of marry up?

You should never marry a person you don't think is a completely wonderful person you're lucky to have.

If you're talking about family money, ugh. I married someone who was the first person in his family to attend college. If you'd hold that against him, you're not the kind of person I'd want anything to do with.

Well, shouldn't he actually receive alimony in that case? Being married to a richer woman should not leave him destitute.


Believe or not a lot of men due to pride will forgo alimony in these cases

Well, shouldn't he actually receive alimony in that case? Being married to a richer woman should not leave him destitute.
