Why do I need to carry an empty bag?

I travel non stop. Phone with slim wallet case. If I am going to be out most of the day I will grab my slim MagSafe charger.

Is it just pockets? How do they not constantly lose stuff if it’s just in their pockets?

I carry a handbag for just this plus a checkbook, pen and a lipstick.

House key - either switch to a code entry, or put a lockbox hidden somewhere. Bonus to either of these, you never have to worry about a kid losing their key

My husband wears actual pants - jeans or khakis or the shorts version of the same. Since his pants have structure and he wears a belt, his wallet is in his back right pocket, his phone is in his front right pocket, and his keys are in his front left pocket. His work ID is on a lanyard around his neck or tucked in his shirt pocket.

Dads who wear sweatpants or flimsy mesh shorts everywhere, similar to my sons, wear those cross body fanny packs. Teen boys seem to favor those string backpacks instead.

My DH uses pockets. He has a slim wallet, a phone, a car key, and a chapstick only. He switches his glasses in the car (regular and sunglasses) and doesn't carry a glasses case.

If I need to carry something like a book, I'll grab a bag, but my wallet, phone, keys, and pocket knife all fit in my pockets without any issue whatsoever.

Then he just needs to carry phone and key.

This is what mine does, minus the key. He never remembers to carry his, but we have spares outside and he uses those. I'd love for him to get a crossbody or running belt so that he could carry his epipen and benadryl more easily, but he refuses to, so a small med pouch also goes in his pocket (when he remembers to bring it, which is another issue).

My teen DS uses a slim wallet and puts that with phone/key in his pockets.
