You think the OP is obnoxious because they are used to how 99% of the country runs gym? MCPS is subpar in so many ways. They just pointed out another way. So "obnoxious" of them.

Anonymous wrote:It's 46 min, teachers are just trying to get the kids to be active for the most amount of time possible, some MSs take it more seriously than others. It's an uphill battle and you'll get no support for trying to enforce it much like cellphones in the classroom. Parents cry their kids get anxious changing, don't like being sweaty etc...

Um, I'm asking because I didn't receive a concrete answer in the interview. I asked why and they just basically shrugged it off and moved to the next question.
Thanks for the unnecessary snark. I think I'll definitely be looking at Frederick County.
Good. Lets get this strange district's schools less crowded.
MCPS teacher here and...just hahaha, it's so amazing how the same people will sit here and bash MCPS and simultaneously defend it to death. Pick a side. No wonder no one wants to work in this district. All of my colleagues talk about leaving on a daily basis. It's mostly due to parents. I mean, look in the mirror when your kid has no teachers left.
You're not a teacher. "Strange district" used by that poster. ALL of MCPS families want to make schools overcrowded. That does not mean defending MCPS.
