Consider a liberal arts college--won't have as intense fine arts requirements for the major, will be a BA not a BFA. Can focus energies across the curriculum. Many entry level jobs don't line up with particular majors--they just want you to be able to be a decent critical thinker/writer/researcher with a good work ethic. But the BFA sometimes doesn't have enough distribution requirements and advanced level courses outside studio to develop students as writers/researchers.

I have a very talented neighbor who majored in theatre and minored in accounting. She performs in live theatre.When a show closes and she is unemployed, she works for Accountemps. She purposely chooses short term jobs.

Would never pay for a "Art Degree" in College just because my DS loves to draw. That sounds like a hobby not a career.

Agreed. I recommend taking a business course or two if not a minor, if DD goes this route

I think digital marketing is a great idea! Lots of jobs in this field.
