Meant to say over 80% from NC
And a big chunk of that 80% is (top students) from Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill. Hardly the deepest parts of the South.

Anonymous wrote:UNC. I was an instate alum, but had many OOS friends , and we trended hippie, not preppy. Also instate people are not that "southern" --- the top 50 kids from my large high school in Charlotte ended up there, many of us transplants from the north.
It's a wonderful place. Lots of people went off to grad school at Ivies, or to med or law school at UNC or elsewhere. Plenty of very smart people around.
