The latest season was a bit strange since they invested a ton of storyline into incorporating LL Cool J's character. But I really liked the landscape and the touches of legit Hawaiian culture. It seemed pretty authentic.
I checked out some of the cast's social media and it seems like they were kind of blindsided by it too.
My biggest complaint is last season almost every episode started and ended with one relationship (if you watch you know which one). The couple had no chemistry and the relationship seemed to be shoved down our throats. I mostly didn’t like it because there were other relationships that could have been highlighted. Example, one character married with kids, met one kid and never met the wife.
