My kids have been all over playing soccer and we loved Herndon. Great coaches and leadership there. I didn’t like the facilities that much but that’s easy to get past.

Because if you don't have a fake pathway your players will leave for another club that has a real pathway to a national league.

This doesn’t even make sense. They want to be the fifth team in that alliance? And isn’t this also too far for Herndon people to travel?

Maybe them and GFR combine for new ECNL club. NM back at Herndon, lol. Other could be them and the likes of LMVSC (based on other threads) join FVU. Fairfax uniting everyone into the Union as their name states, lol.

If you’re changing every year, however, you need to stop and think. Your kid will get a reputation for that and clubs will pass.

This. Coaches talk.

We have been with the same club for 6 years and there was always this one kid that would show up for tryouts. Talented player, but it became a running joke because he would always end up joining another club. Every year he would show up with another club's bag. I think the parents are to blame for this type of behavior and they have clearly missed the point of youth sports. Build character, friendships, and pick up a few soccer skills.

Being from a military family, being the new kid every few years was never a fun adjustment.

Hahah. FVU. Imagine being a player from one of the 600 local teams now part of the club trying to get a roster spot.

No they don't.

Yes, smart ones do.

That’s hilarious. Your poor child being hearded around all the local clubs during tryout season. Christ that’s exhausting and shows you chase. But I’m sure you kid is playing on the national team so bully on you.

Club sent out a communication. Said an announcement coming soon about providing a national pathway closer to home.
