I’m just getting off this sites. Tons of people on TikTok agree with me. We are all taking about how 2019 was the last normal school year. This mother kid is now in 4th grade and only went back to “normal” and it’s not normal like 2018-2019 school year. We need to go back to everything paper and pencils . We need real normal and no more laptops or chomebokks or iPad. I’m just glad I was found an app where people agree with me. Good bye

The only reason I would be writing pleading emails to school board is if they did have 8th grade anything- promotion ceremony or”graduation” and would be writing at how ridiculous it is. Thank you FCPS!

I do not care about 8th graduation. They didn’t graduate. Just promoted to 9th.

I got my Bachelor of Rhymes diploma graduating from private Kindergarten. Then I got a High School diploma after finishing 12th grade. Period.

The called it a graduation ceremony? My kids who were in MCPS had 5th grade and 8th grade promotion ceremonies.

It's not 6th grade graduation, it's 6th grade promotion, they are being promoted to middle school. Same with 8th grade. It's just a promotion, no graduation.

I seen all this TikTok taking about the class of 2020 never had a 8th grade graduation, and this year they will be graduation for the first time since they graduated 5th grade. I’m here thinking FCPS never had one ever. They did a promotion ceremony when they were promoted to 7th grade, but they didn’t have any caps and gowns. It was a very small event only 2 family members were invited do the event. It’s sad that FCPS is stealing so much from our kids.

Our MS doesn't even publicly acknowledge honor roll or straight As. Doubtful they'd celebrate going on to HS. Someone's feelings may get hurt

I don't understand this at all. You don't "graduate" from 8th grade in a way that warrants a cap and freaking gown. What a ridiculous notion.
