I was in France last year and had a delicious cut from a former Derby winner. Succulent, lean, on a bed of herbs and risotto. Definitely recommend! Waste not, want not.

Or Ferdinand, a KD WINNER who ended up at a slaughterhouse. Absolutely disgusting and vile to support this wretched “sport”.
I support Old Friends farm, a place where retired racehorses live out their years in dignity and with love and care. So many of those horses die way before their time, as another poster said they cannot remain sound.

I have no excitement about horse racing ever. I do love a good Thoroughbred, but now breed Dutch Warmbloods that can actually do my sport and stay sound.


Dressage or eventer?

I had a on OTR Thoroughbred and had the same issues as you. Then a TBxPercheron that was the offspring of a racehorse (fertility testing, this was many years ago).

Then just German Warmbloods for oh so many reasons. Love them.
