I did this one time on the advice of my child's school. They didn't admit him or do anything actually. Nothing changed as a result of seeking medical help.

Same story at Childrens. HUGE waste of time. They wouldn't even give us referrals.

Shepard Pratt has psychiatric urgent care at their Baltimore Washington campus. It’s a drive but at least you know the folks there have the right skill set.

I would second Adventist for pediatric ER. Much better experience than Childrens, Georgetown, suburban (we have been to all multiple times, although not for psychiatric care).
