Goodness. They are our ally - why bring Japan into a conversation about immigration??! He doesn't have enough problems to deal with on the PR front with Gaza/Israel and Ukraine and our economy??!
For all you folks who keep talking about how we must vote for Biden cause Trump is the Devil... well I agree Trump is far from ideal but seriously. There have got to be standards and those who know better need to be held accountable to do better. Biden is a train wreck every bit as Trump, just in a different way. Both of them will sink this country into a gigantic hole. Just in different ways!
The fact that people are OK with Biden SIMPLY because he isn't Trump is why we have this mediocrity playing out in our government. Want better, expect better, demand better. I actually am angrier at Biden v Trump, because Trump simply does not know better and he's at least true to himself. The whole argument that there are only 2 candidates and you must support and love one of them is a loser one. This is why the Democrats have problems. Their entire platform rests on don't vote for bad guy Trump. Well, I'm not voting for a good guy if I vote Biden!!! So for all those who don't see Trump as evil, Biden surely isn't going to benefit because he's proven incompetence and he hasn't done anything that's impressed me beyond taking away student debt which sorry, truly does not help me one bit! If Biden loses, he totally deserves it. We all lose too.

The United States would have a larger population if we didn't pour all of our time and money into the dregs of society. What happened to rewarding the people who are working and following the rules. Switching gears and supporting working parents with childcare would go a heck of a long way for the nation. And would probably fix some of these crazy kids that are busy creating social disorder.
We have to think long term. Short term victories come from legal immigrants and also undocumented immigrants in the first and later generations. They reproduce at an exponential rate compared to Americans who have lived here for generations. It ensures we have a strong progressive voter base.
It also ensures we have newcomers who will fill roles and take jobs which citizens will typically not do. We need this now more than ever. So many lazy Americans are choosing not to work, on disability, etc.
The newcomers may not be the best educated from their home countries but they fill a need for our nation and its future.
