Another GK mom. I loved watching when he was younger but now it’s torture because the stakes are higher. I don’t care if he makes a mistake but he definitely does.

I get very stressed when my kid plays goalie.

You should like my mom. I barely talk to her now. It was so obvious that she did not and does not care about our interests. Why did you even have kids and why even go to the games??

I hate watching my kids pitch!! Yesterday watched a kid blow the game for the team because of pitching.

My kid competed for the state championship last year, and I was so nervous, because I knew how hard she had worked to get there, and how much she wanted to win. And I wanted that for her. I was an athlete and that was the most nervous I ever was about a competition, so much more so than when I was the one competing.

She lost.

She came over to me immediately after, and I hugged her and told her how proud I was of how hard she worked.

Not really. My son plays tennis, and while I love him and support him in it, the sport itself is not of great interest to me, and I don't know the ins and outs of it.

I get nervous at tryouts and the championship games. I most am nervous about my son getting hurt (hockey). same for my daughter actually (soccer).

Definitely. Baseball is a game of mistakes and there are a ton of moving pieces and skills involved. Kid pitches, catches, and plays infield and is a strong athlete, but I'm always nervous for him because I know how much he cares about the sport, team, and his own performance. I never ever let him know that though and if it gets too much I just go for a little stroll. Every weekend requires steeling myself and it's exhausting. Would not do this if DS was not all in.

Another goalie mom here. She's very good, but I can barely watch.

I do not. Kid plays soccer and is a defender. He is not on the top team, so while it is competitive, it’s not crazy / psycho level. Kid is a starter and one of the better kids on the team, so generally pretty relaxed.

2x pitcher mom here, and I definitely get nervous for one of them. She carries the game/team on her shoulders a lot despite knowing that's not rational. The other who doesn't seem as bothered I get less nervous for. Still want her to do well but I know it's not going to impact her mood as much either way. So I'm nervous about the impact on my kids, not the scoreboard.

My DD is a goalie. I get nervous during PKs, especially tie breakers at the end ouf tournaments
