I’m the higher earning spouse and my DH cheated, left me and the kids and filed for divorce. He’s close to full deadbeat. However, law says I may have to pay him?!? What injustice.
So how do they do I “leverage” his ongoing affair against him?


You described pretty much every man married to a cheating stay at home wife. It’s what they always have had to do. Pay the cheating ho after the divorce.

She already cheated on you first. She doesn’t love you. It’s not really the revenge you are looking for. She doesn’t care. Just get divorced and move on. Love your kids! Be there for your kids. You are always their father. She left you a long time ago.

If you want to have one, have one for you. Don’t tell your wife. You will lose whatever advantage you have if you disclose.

It wouldn't be an affair since you're in an open marriage. Your wife opened it when she had her affair.

She will keep having them if she wants to.

Do whatever you want.

She won't care either, in fact, she will be happy you have an affair because then she got her hall pass, it was just in advance.

Something to consider: people are often said to be only as faithful as their opportunities. Likely your DW had an opportunity so it was easy and didn’t take work on her part. You may have to put in effort to make your opportunity, and that very effort will drive a wedge between you.
