Probably not great for inspiring VP to admit to this in an election year.
MAGA voters will love this. They feed to being cruel to defenseless people and animals.

This. It's how they dealt with animals in the "good old days."

I don't agree with this. Many MAGA people I know are huge dog lovers. Their relationship with their dog is their unspoken form of therapy (seriously). They are intensely attached to their dogs.
You don't shoot a puppy. You put it up for adoption. Only an abusive psychopath would shoot a puppy; the same person would happily shoot another person.
Most MAGAs I personally know would not relate to this.
This is some sort of ultra-MAGA Overton Window crap.
I agree. I work in animal welfare and it’s not a one-party field. This is both sides horrible. Why would she tell this story?! Does she not remember what happened with Mitt and his dog?

It's more responsible than dumping, either outside or at a shelter. Taking care of the problem rather than sticking someone else with it.
No, you take it to a shelter. A young, purebred pointer will be sitting pretty in Brooklyn going to town on a pup cup with some rich DINKs in a week.

Yeah, you think it's better to pawn it off on someone else. There are plenty of dogs in the world. Take care of your dog yourself, don't stick it in someone else. Fwiw, hounds are terrible in NYC. What a clueless post.

Anonymous wrote:I read the story. The dog, Cricket, sucked at hunting. Noem couldn't control her. Cricket got loose, attacked and killed several chicken belonging to another family so she shot Cricket. More recently her other dog Hazel died "in an accident". At some point you're just a shitty pet owner and should just stop owning dogs if you can't train, control them or protect them.
