Agreed, and once all EV cars have the same charging tech (starting next year), Tesla's major road trip selling point will be reduced as well.
But then they will be getting royalties on ALL the EVs, and not just their own.

The new NACS is an open standard. Tesla does not earn royalties from it. The benefit for Tesla comes from adding a large pool of users for its charging network.
