I wonder why they switched it? This website or maybe some sort of ethical issue (people were going by and seeing the bait and switch). If they are going to lie about something as basic as what the actual lot looks like what else will they lie about?

They probably switched them out because of this thread and negative comments. I am sure dcum is very important to builders and agents.

This. The first impression is already shifty. This is in the context of a transaction in an industry notorious for shiftiness.

In the last photo (of the house from the back), you can clearly see the neighboring houses.

Here's my issue: WHY the weird under-deck off-basement area with the gravel??? For $3.5M, could we avoid weird, creepy, damp areas? Ugh.

This is why it's so funny when people on this site complain about when houses have bad pictures. They don't matter. If anything, pictures should be a quick check for red flags that would mean you absolutely do not want to visit in person - nothing more.

Doesn’t bother me. If you’re not savvy enough to google the street view that’s on you. Plus 99% of people are not buying without seeing the house. Sure it may be slightly deceptive but most people see past it.

Dumb to photoshop it because that is a beautiful neighborhood, even with houses close by next door.

Google street view shows the house that used to be there, not this monstrosity. But you can see the power lines and houses all around it.

Can we talk inside? We are putting black windows inside a house now? Also what are you supposed to do with that big long blue cabinet thingie with a sink in the kitchen area? I don't get it. A wet bar? Then the butler's pantry with a sink right off of it?

It is terrible.

Yeah we hate the house too but you’re allowed to sell an ugly house. You shouldn’t be allowed to photoshop out the neighboring houses.

This makes me wonder what else is fake in the listing photos. Can someone take one for the team and go tour the house?

+1 Anything that 1) alters or removes fixed structures or other things like trees or 2) doctors photos to portray things as working shouldn't be allowed.

Our current house had a picture of the fireplace in use. We asked the seller's agent if that meant the fireplace works. He said no, he photoshopped that in. Um glad we asked . . .
