Cheating

Really messed him up

It can be very relevant.
My husband’s parents divorced in their late 70’s but I’m not sure they ever got along. Both are very serious with strong personalities.
Their culture seems to value sacrifice and there is little emphasis on happiness.
My husband is just like them. He’s smart, funny and charismatic at work but these come out so rarely at home. On a day to day basis, he ignores me and is agitated very frequently.
Every few years, he gives me a hug, says he loves me and wants a good relationship.
Then ten minutes later, he’s a jerk and doesn’t seem to care about me at all.

I had surgery recently and opted for a local anesthetic instead of general anesthesia or even taking a Valium because my husband throws it back in my face if I ask him to drive me.

There are people who were raised to be miserable people. It’s all they know.
