Teachers probably don't realize it because they spend 95% of their time focusing on the bottom 10%-15% of the kids with serious behviral issues and don't have time to get to know your kid let alone teach them.

I can’t imagine a teacher being able to do that. That’s asking a lot!
Look, if schools make the decision to get rid of textbooks AND homework, then the only way parents can ensure their child is learning is by the teacher sending the assignments.

LOL!! As if there are actually textbooks and workbooks.
OP you have to reach out and ask the teacher for the materials and lessons. You may also just need to hire a tutor.
Next year write into the IEP that you get access to the curricular materials.
