Leaning towards Offer 1 because the supervisor personally selected me for the role and I think being remote with no travel requirement gives me better work-life balance regardless of the salary difference. Thoughts?

OP here. I have a spouse who is retired and if there is a single downside to working remotely, it's maybe too much togetherness but I rather experience that than my current hybrid work situation which has us living parallel lives for more than half the week.

But also think about the pros on 2. Would travel give you more exposure to people, opportunities in the long run? If so, then 2.
I have been in a remote job since covid and I can tell you while it has given me a tremendous opportunity to balance my work life, it has also taken away some of the professional growth. I am not concerned about it though since I have young children. If I hadn't, professional growth would be in one of my top priorities.
