Of all the home remedies I tried, duct tape was the most effective.
My son had a heel wart. Duct tape shrank it. It was slow, but certain.
I then got a heel wart. Duct taped that too. Something in the adhesive that the wart doesn't like.

No why? It worked for me and others. Same principle as duct tape.

I tried dry ice at the doctor's another time and it was so painful and didn't work.

I had laser multiple times. It can grow back, as long as there are seeds of the virus left behind.

You can also spread it to other sites (such as from cutting a wart with a razor.)

Apple cider vinegar...over and over and over. It worked for me.

Agree with post above - Imiquimod. Also hpv vaccine also seems to help other kinds of warts (google it).

Try the OTC freeze from Compound W. File with an Emory board or pumice stone first then apply the freeze or the gel, then a Compound W bandage. Keep repeating the process. It took about 4 weeks DD had them on both feet! But it worked they fell out on their own.

They eventually go away on their own because of your immune system. It is a virus.

I had a lot of trouble getting rid of them. What finally worked for me was a product called "The Wart Stick" I purchased from amazon. It is the consistency of lip balm, and it doesn't burn when put on like the liquids do. I would apply a decent amount, cover with a bandaid and repeat. You just have to be really consistent. Better than any treatment I had at the dermatologist and less painful, too.

DS has multiple plantar warts on the bottom of one foot and was prescribed imiquimod after OTC salicylic acid didn't work. They were spreading and becoming really painful, so we were willing to try anything, but his dr. only does laser treatments on ped patients as a last resort. So far the imiquimod is working quickly.

Absolutely switch if they won't use the beetle juice. That's ridiculous. Why would they make your dd go through so much pain when that's what works the quickest?

I did have a dermatologist say they wouldn't use it on hands though and that it was just for foot use (thicker skin)

I had the same issue and finally told them enough. They gave me a very strong dose of salicylic acid which finally worked.
