Yes -- there is sibling preference just like at every other private. Not guaranteed but it helps a lot.

Holton's big entry years are 3/4/7/9. Each year is progressively harder than the next, but all four are still MUCH easier than any other year.

6th is an entry year as well. That’s the final year of LS and the class goes from 3 to 4 classrooms.

I agree with others that replied referencing the overall number of students at the school. This year the school has seen a great percentage of those that were offered admission and accepted. So some classes in Middle and Upper School have more incoming students than anticipated, which limits the amount that can be accepted in LS. If the school succeeds in increasing the cap of students, that may change.
P.S. Current parent of two of girls at Holton

Holton is already projecting over enrollment this year. People could drop bw now and May 31 and they probably still won’t pull from wait list bc they’ve far exceeded the cap set forth by the Bradley Boulevard Citizen’s Association. It is pretty persistent about staying at the agreed cap and would not take kindly to knowing that Holton overenrolled and still took people from the waitlist. Call your admissions rep and ask about this agreement.

Fourth, seventh, and ninth grades are the other big entry years. DD was rejected for 4th a number of years back. We waited until she became stronger academically and applied for 7th and was accepted.
