My college roommate put dish soap in the dishwasher of our first apartment! Huge mess. We had bought both, but ran out of the dishwasher detergent (didn't have pods back then) so she assumed "the other dish liquid" would work just as well.

The other day I moved a load of laundry from the washer to the dryer, and put a second load in the washer. Then popped a dryer sheet in the washer, a laundry pod in the dryer, and started both. Oops.

Funny, I was doing laundry yesterday with some pods that resemble dishwasher pods and I thought "that would be hilarious if I bought the wrong pods." But they're laundry pods.

My laundry machine has a setting to self dispose soap into the load so you don’t have to add it each time. After washing linens, towels, and clothes for months (sweaty hot yoga work out clothes included), I realized that someone had turned the setting off and I had been “washing” everything without soap for a long, long time.

It still makes me blush with embarrassment to think of this!!

YES exactly.... my family watched the news to see if they saw me but thank god they didn't use my inane soundbite.

We saw someone once, ordering at the drive-through into a garbage can (flies flying around it and all) and they finally had to send someone out to get her order as she was getting upset that they couldn't hear her order. A couple employees were filming her at the actual drive through window. We still die laughing at that. Any day I'm not doing that is a good day.

I realized today that I've been using a moisturizing body wash as hand moisturizer. I always hated it...

I did this same exact thing for maybe six months until my friend’s washer broke and she came over to use mine. She pointed it out.

Haha to make you feel better, my husband does laundry but i stock the products in the laundry room. There’s a bag of oxygen whitener and a bag of detergent (both powder). We realized other day that he’s been just using oxygen whitener on the clothes and not using the detergent because he thought both bags were the same thing. FOR WEEKS. And yes I realized this because my clothes did not seem clean!,

OP here. She didn’t notice. It was a neighborhood group chat and they were also talking about some small batch expensive laundry detergent and so everyone assumed I was referring to laundry. We’re some high flying party ladies here, aren’t we.

My friend’s husband used a Magic Eraser on their kid’s face!
