Nothing for Cornell. A year ago, they started offering a few spots at this point in the month. But with the FAFSA debacle, I’m not sure anything is predictable.

Even in this scenario where a student has committed/paid a deposit to School A - and then jumps ship when they get offer from waitlist School B? So some schools factor in/try to estimate how many admitted students who pay deposit will end up backing out? I guess that makes sense.

Plus a lot of kids hoping for a waitlist offer have not committed yet. Most will wait to pay a deposit at a different school until the night before the deadline.
