It’s not rowdy before sundown, it doesn’t really get rowdy until the drunk movies come out much later.

Plus OC boardwalk has always been trashy, fringed belly shirts, tattoos and piercings have been OC for as long as I can remember, but that’s part of what makes it amusing.

It’s a public beach, not the country club. I wouldn’t live there but makes for good people watching and a fun evening.


Disagree- we when went last summer there were drunk and high people all over the boardwalk and it was around lunchtime. Pot smell everywhere.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I think she means the way their mouth and teeth look when they Winnie.

Yes to this advice. There is also a grotto pizza near that Dino golf and dumsers.
Also it’s a little further but you can also drive up to Bethany or rehobeth from the north part of oc if you wanted to check that out

For her young kids, Funland in Rehoboth is perfect and definitely not boring.
Ocean City is wall to wall drunks and weed smell.


Incorrect. Rehobeth is a complete snooze fest. I agree with all comments above about north oc but getting around without a car could be challenging. You may want to look closer to the very very end (north side) of the boardwalk and try to make sure you are near either a grocery store or mini mart.

We have kids the same age and go to OC. Agree with the PP that said mid-June is tough bc of the beach week teens. Also agree with the recommendation to stay up north. Tailchasers around 120th has a playground, there’s a large recreational area with lots of playgrounds, boat rentals, and sports fields around 135th, I think. There’s an Alley Oops up there, and then your usual Sunsations, Candy Kitchen, what have you. That’s all you need for a few days.

Bethany is too small. Rehoboth is just right.

Stay away from MD and DE beaches. They are sad and trashy. Spend the money to fly to a real beach. Check out southern CA.
