Facebook brand groups like Tea etc. also mercari and poshmark bundles. I buy bundles of dresses/shirts from Tea and Hanna in my kids sizes. But like $20-25 for multiple items.

Half is WAY too much.

DP here. It’s not the price. I’ve dropped the prices down to comical levels, people still don’t want anything that isn’t free. They are super entitled now. So donate it somewhere I can write it off instead. I’m not having sketchy people come to my house.

Yep. I gave up since Covid. People want it for free, or they want to haggle. They flake on the pickup, etc. It was a great tool pre Covid but no more. Oh well, I guess they can dig though it at Goodwill or the Salvation Army now instead.

Just give it away. Are you so poor that you need to sell it? No one wants your maybe fake, maybe stained, maybe not fitting, expensive clothes.

I have good luck selling on Facebook marketplace, but I’ve never tried clothing. It’s usually items. I used to sell on craigslist, but I feel like that’s a dead marketplace now.

Craigslist used to be a great way to buy and sell all kinds of used stuff; then they got cannibalized by Facebook Marketplace. And Facebook Marketplace is garbage - horrible interface, bad search, and full of scammers.

So there is no longer good way to buy and sell used items locally.

I occasionally buy clothes off ebay. Only established good quality labels. But I'm paying probably 25% of original price. At most. If it cost $200 in the shop, I'm not spending any more than $50, including shipping/taxes.

Most people I know are gifting clothes. You’re better off at poshmark or thredup.

I think half is too much. Don’t forget they’re buying without trying on and need to take the risk that it will fit and be what they expect.

Expensive clothing. I am selling for half of what I originally paid.

No buyers in sight.

Are times really that hard right for people right now?

Go to a proper consignment shop.
now that’s a true waste of time and energy.

DP. 100% this. Between preparing everything for sale, dry cleaning, etc. and then the consignment shop taking its cut, the consignor makes pennies. I realized how utterly absurd it was after doing it a few times. Now I just give my things away.

You'll probably have better luck bundling them and using Poshmark.

Craigslist is rather sketchy.
